Experience a pleasing aroma of apple, pear, peach, and maybe a little honeysuckle. This medium-bodied wine tastes smooth and has medium sweetness with a little “sour apple” drop at the finish. This all natural, quality Riesling is a refreshing, drinkable wine for those that enjoy the sweet side of things.
Great with cheeses, light meals or with desserts. Enjoy with your summer beach picnics, at a music festival or on your front porch or patio. The versatile Riesling goes with just about any type of food and is great at barbeques.
Germany’s Mosel wine region has a rich history. Romans actually brought the first wine vines to the Mosel Valley in 50 B.C. Evidence of their wine presses still remain today and many Roman sites correspond to the locations of today’s best vineyards. In fact, Germany’s oldest wine cellar was built in 330 AD in Trier, which is part of the Mosel wine region.
Hailing from the steep hills of the Kluesserather Region, where the geology in this part of the Mosel has soil of pure slate, which is both highly porous and an efficient reflector of heat, which offers the grapes the most out of every ray of sun.
