This unoaked German Pinot Grigio is dry and fresh, grown in the loamy soil on the Nahe River, where a microclimate keeps it warmer than its neighbors on cool summer nights. Some hints of grassy melon and wildflower bouquet with light lemon-citrus for balanced acidity. Serve chilled.
Excellent when paired with all fish dishes and summer pastas served outdoors. Clean and crisp, it goes with a wide variety of foods. Try it with Manchego cheese and figs or goat cheese and pistachios. Perfect for any party.
Pinot Grigio (Italian) is also known as Pinot Gris (French) and Grauer Burgunder (German). It’s the same grape, just different countries and usually slightly different wine styles. It is closely related to the
Pinot Noir grape and has a grayish-blue sking, which is why its name includes the word “grey” in different languages. This wine can be enjoyed young, as soon as 4-12 weeks after fermentation. It’s easy drinking, known for vibrant apple and melon flavors.
