Primitivo and Zinfandel share the same DNA and derived from the same Tribidrag varietal. Primitivo was renamed to Zinfandel when it hit the US market. This wine hails from southern Italy where Primitivo means “early-one” (ripened). This balanced, velvety wine is high in both alcohol and tannins with intense flavors. Pairs with all meats, including game, grilled sausages and hearty pastas. Airing suggested.
